Hat's off, once again, for the great trading ideas from the chat at www.investorsunderground.com. MOBI ZAGG KV/A EK were all ideas that came from @investorslive and other members of the chat room.
MOBI-Well, looks like I may have sold too soon, but I’m happy with the overnight hold from Wednesday…and for being discipline enough to stick with the plan. All morning before the bell I was trying hard to keep my eye on MOBI and no other stocks so I could exit a losing trade or benefit from a good set-up—and I was rewarded for my discipline with the latter. Weak open, r/g whole number combo and boom, there it went. Closed my calls when it consolidated around 7.40. Out at .80 from .45: good start to the day. Rolled it all over into ZAGG.
ZAGG-same weak, r/g whole number pop…but no follow through this time. Shorted with puts near 15.60 on its way down (JUL $14 for .80) and it kept going, but bounced to a little over 15. Maybe a pop in the morning, would like a gap and crap to sell into the panic, but after RIMM’s bounce I’m cautious—don’t want to lose any of my gains from MOBI because I got too greedy. I was up nicely with this one earlier but let it go and it bounced. What’s concerning to me isn’t that it made it back to 15, but that it held support at the low of the day and bounced from there, 14.20 has some good support.
KV/A-dropped but never was able to go r/g. Tomorrow’s the test, rumors of it getting listed on Russell on the rebalance. Selling tomorrow.
EK-3.60 the resistance still. The results of the patent news got delayed to 6/30 now. Hoping for this to just consolidate around the 3.60 area until then. Selling into any run-up on 6/29 or, if nothing…hold and see what happens on 6/30.

NFLX-bought these calls (weeklys 265 strike) yesterday around the open when they were testing the 250s area in the morning. Last night I mentioned that I thought NFLX would bounce off of the 250s area…just hoped it’d be before Friday expiry. Ask and you shall receive: started with a gap down, but came back. Tried to go green but failed the first time then made it the second time, then through 250 and boom. Interesting when looking at the intraday chart…it played out like the smaller dollar/penny stocks that I’ve played—actually did the weak/gap down, r/g whole number combo thing that @investorslive mentions for plays on his watchlist from time to time. I’m thinking it gaps up and then craps. Gonna try to sell the rest of my calls in the first 15 min if does gap. For the ones I sold today I was out at .85 from .19…yup that was a pretty nice overnight trade. 260 was previous support—gave it some resistance today, we’ll see if it breaks through tomorrow…fingers crossed.

AAPL-wow, this had some range today. I was too busy to grab some when it dipped into the 318s and back above 330. Like to think it heads to 340, but wonder if that patent thing with EK, if it goes against AAPL will cause it to stall.

Follow the rules: Cut losses quickly; Don't overtrade; Take profits/sell into strength; Don't chase, watch for the pullback; Have a plan and stick to it
