Business Conferences – ACUS, HEB

Today StocksHaven Investments has some exciting news to share with you all. Due to the influx of emails we have been receiving lately on inquiries regarding the latest FDA deadlines on (Public, AMEX:HEB) and (Public, OTC:ACUS), StocksHaven Investments has requested a phone conference with Hemispherx BioPharma, Inc. as per their investor relations spokesperson. Rest assured the conversations will be recorded in real-time (given allowance) with no editing what so ever. We believe this will prove to be a new and ingenious implementation which will in turn help us stand apart from other financial publications.

Here is a copy of the e-mail sent out to HEB’s investor relations on May/12/09:

My name is Michael Vlaicu and I am the founder, and lead investment analyst of a highly successful financial blog and equity advice company. I would like to express my gratitude for your continued support and co-operation on your behalf. As I am a current shareholder and support your ongoing operations, it is in my best interest to give positive feedback to your shareholders on the current and future goals / plans of Hemixpherx Biopharma, Inc. Friday anytime past 3 pm EST would be suitable for me. Would it perhaps be possible to allow the voice conference to be recorded and publicized on my company web-page?

I expect the basis of our discussion will be with regards to the 18.3M at 1.10 PPS offering, although I am also interested in the ongoing pursuit to solidify Ampligen as a viable treatment for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome because there are currently no other FDA approved treatments. Moreover, your partnership with Oragens and the pursuit to develop treatments for HPV, HIV and other globally important viral diseases.

Any developments and insights we may receive will be publicized.

This is absolutely amazing…I read this article along with the one prior in regards to ACUS – on the main Google Headlines page – and i couldn’t help but tell myself – I KNOW HIM I KNOW HIM :) Your twittering rocks too…Please keep up the good work – and if i can be of any help – i would like to by all means.

    Mike:
I like what I see. I am a young investor that is willing to learn the tricks to the market. Following someone that already knows the ins and outs of the market is imperative (aka you!). Being a new investor myself, I advise you to do the following to increase your marketability to new traders similar to myself:

    1. Create a permanent “how to find the bottom” link; aka the most basic skills you use to see (as best you can) the bottom of a specific stock. this will help direct potential clients to a permanent set of rules that you stick to. Assuming your picks make money, the proof that money is made is enough for them to continue following your picks. Even if your advice doesn’t work every time, the average should correct for the losses.

    2. Proof of success: You need to have a page that SHOWS you have made good picks and have also told the public to sell at specific points; advising to buy is one thing, advising to sell on a pick you made at is even more convincing. I recommend having a page dedicated to showing that your past picks and sells have made you money. I advise adding charts to your picks. Charts that show WHEN you bought and then WHEN you sold will be incredibly useful to young investors. adding captions to show why you bought or sold will be incredibly useful!
In conclusion: I check your site every day to check your picks and have been very happy with the picks you choose but advising to sell at a specific point is even more convincing. Keep it up mike, I look forward to the stocks you pick next!

Oswald – with all due respect – in an ideal world GREAT advice. But if you’re a day trader – it’s really up to you how much Gain or Loss you want to take. If you follow SH’s site regularly you would notice some of his gains are very modest. Although a particular stock may have jumped 100+% – he was content with 13-20% .

Bottom line – Who wants to be blamed for another’s greed? Day trade to your heart’s content.

    my 2 cents.

you have a great article… useful post keep it up..

    NYpharmer1:
I do agree; in the end it is up to oneself to decide when to get out of a stock. I was just stating that if mike puts up a page that archives past picks and sells that he thought were good, it would help him market his site. I think it would help convince potential followers that his advice is indeed solid.

  7. @Oswald, Unfortunately by SEC rules and regulations I am bounded and restricted to the amount of information I may give out. Providing a selling point is not something I can do legally (unless you are willing to pitch in for any multi-million dollar lawsuit I may face) =)

Moreover, as I have stated numerous times, it is up to you to do your own DD and control your own greed. For me, often times 20% is a more than suitable gain.

As to the website updates you have mentioned, they are all very wonderful and ingenious. However, due to time constraints at the moment I am unable to implement them as this would push my already busy lifestyle into an endless abyss of research. I already spend a considerable amount of time on DD and updating the website as I do, giving up a lot of my sleep and free time a regular person would have.

I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

    Hi Michael,

My questions are those that I am sure every stockholder has:

What was HEB’s motive for the dilution and investor buy in? How do they feel about the outcome? How do you they think the shareholders and investors should feel?

And, the more you can find out about the chances of approval, the better!

  10. @Oswald,

I have now implemented the Real Chart concept along with stating the purchase price of the stock.

    Hi,

I would like to know from the CEO if the Animal Toxicity Studies are submitted to FDA or not and if these studies are required for approval. This will clear all the confusion, PERIOD!

    Thanks.

    Michael,

I appreciate all the work and time you put into your website and the initiative spent to get the HEB conference call last Friday, May 15, 2009. Like many others I was impressed with your questions, and Dr. Carter’s answers. Many concerns were put to rest last Friday. As evidence of that, I (and many others) will buy more HEB this coming week. You have a proven method (Conference calling) of generating interest in a company’s stock. Keep up the good work!

  14. You actually talked about some interesting points in this article. I found it by using Yahoo and I have to admit that I am currently subscribed to your website, it is quite great ;)
