Coal is by far the dirtiest way America makes power, however, a revolution is taking place in this old industry by the way of “Clean Coal”, leaving up and coming companies poised for major growth in the near future. Welcome to Clean Coal Technologies (PINK:CCTC). Yes folks, if you’ve picked up shares in this company earlier today, you’ve come to the right place as the fat lady hasn’t sang yet to signal the end of a major run-up. This stock has been red hot, a fair comparison would be molten lava and there are several reasons for it to keep on burning while it cooks up some wonderful gains for your portfolio. Clean Coal Technologies made a splash on small cap stock scanners around the world with its resent resurgence from its new found bottom, however, based on our fundamental and technical analysis we believe there is a lot of gas left in the tank for this beauty to keep on moving. A few days back in mid January, a couple of warrants began a panic sell which saw the stock fall more than 1000%, one of the steepest declines seen by investors of the early 2010 year. Albeit pink sheet stocks are a high risk maneuver in general, without that factor there wouldn’t be room for great rewards, afterall, what goes down, must eventually go back up. Toss in this highly oversold and undervalued price per share with a few other factors: Of the likes including, Obama naming Clean Coal as one of his prime targets during his campaign, plenty of patents to secure a competitive advantage going forward, and a well balanced management team featuring some of the industry’s leading experts and you have yourself one tasty stew on hand, leaving outside invetors salivating at its potential. The company claims its technology is better than coal scrubbing methods and costs 60 to 70 percent less, removing pollutants and contaminants, which scrubbing doesn’t achieve. Its patented process turns raw, low-grade coal into high-grade, clean burning coal on an industrial scale.

Understanding Clean Coal
Firstly, it is important to understand the term, “Clean Coal Technologies” as this is the industry that is being tapped into by CCTC. Clean coal technology is an umbrella term used to describe technologies being developed that aim to reduce the environmental impact of coal energy generation. These include chemically washing minerals and impurities from the coal, gasification, treating the flue gases with steam to remove sulfur dioxide, carbon capture and storage technologies to capture the carbon dioxide from the flue gas and dewatering lower rank coals (brown coals) to improve the calorific value, and thus the efficiency of the conversion into electricity.
Clean coal technology usually addresses atmospheric problems resulting from burning coal. Historically, the primary focus was on sulfur dioxide and particulates, since it is the most important gas in the causation of acid rain. More recent focus has been on carbon dioxide (due to its impact on global warming) as well as other pollutants. Concerns exist regarding the economic viability of these technologies and the time-frame of delivery, potentially high hidden economic costs in terms of social and environmental damage, and the costs and viability of disposing of removed carbon and other toxic matter.
Coal, which is primarily used for the generation of electricity, is the second largest domestic contributor to carbon dioxide emissions in the USA. The public has become more concerned about global warming which has led to new legislation. The coal industry has responded by running advertising touting clean coal in an effort to counter negative perceptions, as well as by putting more than $50 billion towards the development and deployment of clean coal technologies, including carbon capture and storage. The expenditure has been unsuccessful to date in that there is not a single commercial scale coal fired power station in the US that captures and stores more than token amounts of CO2.
About Clean Coal Technologies, Inc.
Corporate Structure
CCTI, which began operations on September 1, 2007, was formed through the acquisition of Clean Coal Systems, Inc. (CCSI) and a pink sheet shell company that facilitated CCTI’s listing on th
e OTC exchange in early October, 2007 under the symbol “CCTC“.
CCTC intends to use a franchise model whereby CCTC will license its technology to third parties and exact a license fee, as well as a royalty fee, based on plant production. CCTC is in various stages with several parties regarding the initial deployment of its technology. In the immediate term, CCTC is exploring joint venture arrangements and other strategic partnerships with various parties to facilitate the initial deployment of its technology.
CCTC plans to place its technology at mine mouths, co-locate its facilities with both new and existing coal-burning power plants, or as a means of upgrading low to mid grade coals to create a source fuel for liquefaction applications.
Technology Application
CCTI’s technology is far superior to coal scrubbing and costs 60-70% less, because it removes pollutants and contaminants that scrubbing does not address. It is truly the “Pollution Solution.” The technology allows raw, low-grade coal to be transformed via our multistage patented processes into high grade, clean burning, coal, on an industrial scale.
One of the consequences of the People’s Republic of China’s rapid industrial development has been increased pollution and degradation of natural resources. Much of the solid waste is not properly discarded. Water pollution is a source of health problems across the country; and air pollution causes up to 750,000 premature deaths each year. China’s rapid development has driven an exponential increase in demand for energy, which is primarily provided by an ever increasing number of coal-fired power plants.
The Company’s patented clean coal, end product is dramatically more efficient, less polluting, more cost effective, and provides more heat than untreated dirty coal. The principal elements of this pre combustion technology are based on well-proven, off the shelf components and equipment. Its clean coal technology reduces some 90% of chemical pollutants from coal thereby resolving emission issues affecting coal-fired power plants.
As a means of repositioning the image and value of its finished product, the Company has trademarked the name “PRISTINE”. The name “PRISTINE™” also serves as a means of differentiating the processed product from the negative connotations generally associated with coal, and its traditional use. PRISTINE™ is applicable for a variety of applications, including coal-fired power stations, chemical byproduct extraction, and as a source fuel for coal to liquid technologies.
The Coal Pollution Solution
Concern over the effects of airborne pollution, green house gases, and the impact of global warming has become a worldwide issue that transcends international boundaries, politics and social responsibility. Clean Coal Technologies, Inc. (CCTI) patented technology promises to dramatically reduce the contaminants and pollutants that are problematic for burning coal.
With CCTI’s technology, coal becomes a cost-effective, efficient and extremely clean-burning fuel that could potentially reduce our dependency upon oil. Over time, as utilities, power plants and manufacturers shift to our clean coal, we can achieve major advances in reducing pollution throughout the globe, and become the worldwide emission standard for future plants.
For countries with significant coal deposits, the result could also result in a reduced dependency upon oil and foreign suppliers. Additionally, as in the case of the US, our technology could provide an excellent export opportunity for clean domestic coal products.
The CCTI patented multi-stage process transforms coal with high levels of impurities, contaminants and other polluting elements into an exceptionally efficient, clean and inexpensive source of high energy, low polluting fuel.
The reduction in airborne pollution and contaminants is dramatic – Up to 90% in some test cases. By-products of the process, are captured and can be sold on the secondary chemical market as an additional value-add. One by-product, methane gas, is re-introduced into CCTI’s plant as a fuel source to reduce dependency on external energy resources.
The technology is being developed in conjunction with our scientific technology consultant, a Fortune 500 company which is considered as the one of the world’s leading energy consulting firms, whose clients include the US Department of Energy and other global energy companies.

A decent writeup here Mike, thanks for the info. I grabbed some CCTC today @ 0.15. Right now its sitting around 0.25. Not bad.
Seems curious that this writeup/PR coincides with Obama’s comments on coal.
