Great post. I especially liked E. I often have to restrain myself from cutting people off while they are speaking - especially when I already know the information.

I recently offered my own conference call success strategies and would love to hear your feedback: http://sarahgershman.blogspot.com/2009/05/conference-call-911.html.

Thanks,
Sarah

The tips you gave are helpful hints that some would assume everyone knows. Something you did not mention was choosing the right audio conferencing tool from the beginning. For example, choose a tool that enables the host to mute the dog barking or noisy background like Ready Conference, from Premiere Global. On the ability to share documents that the "in-house" folks are looking at, you might suggest adding web to your meeting, particularly one from which you can send documents during the conversation, see who is speaking and lets you share your desktop so that everyone is on the same page. That agenda you mentioned can be front and center in the beginning of the meeting to keep everyone on task.
